EXPLORATION MOMENT:

  1. Each child in a row should raise his or her hand to tell how Bruno expressed his fear and how the squirrel showed his gratitude. They can talk about Bruno's feelings and the words he used to say he was afraid, and how the squirrel responded in a kind way to thank him.
  2. Then ask him a question:
    • What words do we use when we feel afraid?
    • What do we say when we want to thank someone who helps us?


STRUCTURING MOMENT

  1. A game of “Decomposed Telephone” will be organized in which the students sit in a circle. The first child must whisper a simple message into the ear of his/her partner and so, one by one, the message will pass through all the children until the last one will say the word.
  2. Then the first child should say a quality of a character from the story of the bunny rabbit until the last child says which character from the story he/she is and describes him/her physically.





TIME OF EXECUTION:

Each student is given a sheet of paper with a drawing of a blank shield on which they must draw a picture or write inside the shield something that makes them feel brave or a situation in which they have shown courage (e.g., public speaking, learning something new, etc.).








EVALUATION MOMENT:

In a circle each child will share what they drew or wrote on their shields highlighting the values found within the value shield that they can use when facing challenging situations.
